Thanks for stopping by!
Whether you are new to firearms or an experienced
shooter, the ongoing advances in shooting require continuing
learning/education. Actions, barrels,
stocks, casings, powder, primers, bullets, iron sights, and scopes are just a
few of the things that come to bear on accuracy. The wind, terrain, weather, and lighting also
affect precision. That said, we mustn’t
forget the person handling the firearm! Is
the person prepared to correctly fire the round? What position will they adopt? Is he or she comfortable with the recoil of
the firearm? Is the gun “sighted-in”? In my view, it is the person who has the
biggest role to play in hitting the proverbial “bullseye.” It is her or she who is responsible for
putting all of the parts together such that they hit their intended target
“dead center” (yes, pun)…or as close to it as possible.
Future articles will cover the varied topics that
impact shooting. Although I will not
profess to be all-knowing on every topic having to do with firearms and
shooting, if there’s a topic that you fancy, let me know and I will do my best to cover it to your satisfaction. In the process, I believe that I stand to
learn as much as everyone else.
Another important feature of this website is the deals. On a daily basis, I will be looking for the
best deals and sales on hunting and target shooting gear, equipment, and
accessories in Canada and the United States.
As a result, if you’re an avid hunter or target shooter, you might want
to make checking out the deals a part of your daily routine!
Lastly, you’ll note that we have two directories on
this site: one of shooting ranges and another of hunting/shooting
organizations. Not to be boastful, but I
believe they are the most comprehensive directories (of their respective types)
on the web. So, if ever you’re looking
for either type of information, be sure to check us out first!
With the above in mind, I hope that you will stay with
us on this journey so we might continue to enjoy everything having to do with
firearms and shooting. Until next time!
